A community forum on child safety and public education will soon bring together parents, students, teachers, and local leaders for an evening of meaningful discussion and awareness. The event is being organized by Moms for Public Education.
Judges Sonia Rash and Julie Mathew will serve as keynote speakers. They will be joined by a panel of local experts covering a wide range of issues, including mental health and suicide prevention, gun safety, protections for transgender children, special education challenges, child abuse prevention, traffic safety, and the responsible use of the internet and smartphones.
Organizers say the forum aims to provide an open platform where families, educators, and community advocates can exchange experiences and work on strategies to ensure children’s safety in schools and neighborhoods.
“Moms for Public Education” stressed that child protection is a shared responsibility and urged the community to come together to build a safer and more supportive future for children.
The event is free and open to the public. Residents across Houston are encouraged to attend and take part in what organizers describe as a vital initiative to safeguard and nurture young people.
