Houston Iftar 2025: A Celebration of Unity and Interfaith Harmony
Houston, TX – March 2025: America’s largest Houston Iftar once again showcased the city’s commitment to unity, interfaith harmony, and leadership. Held at the Bayou City Event Center in collaboration with the Mayor’s Office and Sister Cities Associations, the event gathered over 2,000 attendees, including diplomats, government officials, faith leaders, and business executives.
Leadership and Community Engagement
At the forefront of this grand event was Saeed Sheikh, Houston Iftar Coordinator, whose dedication and leadership ensured a well-organized and dignified gathering. Houston Mayor John Whitmire praised the Iftar as a reflection of the city’s multicultural spirit, while Congressman Al Green emphasized the importance of such gatherings in fostering interfaith dialogue.

Business and Faith Leaders Join the Celebration
Prominent business figures, including Javed Anwar (Business Leader & Chief Patron) and Tanveer Ahmed, highlighted the role of corporate responsibility in strengthening community ties. Faith leaders such as ISGH President Imran Ghazi, Ismaili Community Leader Faisal Momin, Mayor of Stafford City Ahmed Yasin, and Imam Wazir Ali reaffirmed the significance of continued interfaith collaboration.

Thanks to an innovative ticketing system and strategic execution, the team ensured smooth crowd control and a dignified experience for all attendees. Security teams worked tirelessly to provide a safe and welcoming environment for families, faith leaders, and VIP guests.
