The Consulate General of Pakistan in Houston is serving up something special with the launch of “Discover Pakistan’s Taste in Houston,” a flavorful campaign designed to celebrate and showcase the rich culinary heritage of Pakistan right here in the heart of Texas.
This vibrant food-focused initiative invites Houstonians to explore the aromas, spices, and stories behind the city’s beloved Pakistani restaurants — from melt-in-your-mouth kebabs and sizzling karahi to royal biryani and irresistible gulab jamun. The goal? To connect the Greater Houston community with the soul of Pakistani cuisine, its traditions, and the people who make it come alive.
Lights, Camera, Curry! — How to Participate
Pakistani restaurants and food entrepreneurs in Houston are encouraged to submit short, captivating videos (up to 3 minutes) featuring:
- A signature dish – What makes it unforgettable?
- A taste of history – How does your restaurant reflect Pakistani culture and heritage?
- Behind-the-scenes flavor – Show your chefs in action, happy customers, or secret recipes (only if you’re willing to share!)
All videos will be spotlighted on the official Facebook page of the Consulate General of Pakistan, Houston — creating a digital food tour unlike any other and offering exposure to a wider audience of food lovers.
Submission Guidelines
- Open to all Pakistani-owned restaurants and food providers in the Greater Houston area
- Videos should be in horizontal format and focus on food, culture, and identity
- Keep it family-friendly, culturally relevant, and free from paid advertising
