“American Urdu TV and IMC’s joint offering ‘Mehman Houston’ has captured the audience’s attention with its second season. To distinguish this new season from the first, several significant aspects have been incorporated. According to IMC’s Executive Director Asher Ali, Season 2 will explore new production standards, diverse themes, and impactful personalities, aiming to vividly portray the real stories of American Pakistanis. He emphasized that the program aims not only to entertain but also to educate, connecting overseas Pakistanis through mutual understanding, inspiration, and national identity. The program will highlight Pakistanis who have made a distinct identity with their hard work, integrity, and determination while living in America, honoring their contributions to society, culture, and intellectual heritage.
ZeeShan Mirza, Head of American Urdu TV, described ‘Mehman Houston’ as an emotional link for Pakistanis living far from their homeland, connecting them to their social, cultural, and intellectual heritage. Recently aired, the first episode featured prominent Pakistani journalist, media consultant, and motivational speaker Faisal Aziz Khan, with hosting duties led by Rabab Khan. Faisal Aziz Khan discussed Pakistan’s current leadership crisis, Imran Khan’s policies, and the institutional role of Field Marshal General Asim Munir openly, providing not only in-depth analysis but also guidance and thematic discussion for viewers. He highlighted the societal and institutional challenges faced by Pakistan internally and internationally, stressing the urgent need for visionary leadership beyond political and economic impacts.

Faisal Aziz Khan criticized former Prime Minister Imran Khan for exploiting his popularity for personal agendas and adopting policies that created a divide between institutions and the public. Acknowledging Field Marshal General Asim Munir’s contributions, he praised the current Army Chief for his efforts in maintaining Pakistan’s security, stability, and constitutional framework, emphasizing that politicizing the army undermines national unity and is extremely dangerous. Faisal Aziz Khan called for national consensus, broader political tolerance, and institutional respect to move Pakistan forward, urging overseas Pakistanis not only to provide financial support but also to play a role in intellectual and moral guidance. He emphasized the need to view the country’s future with realism rather than emotion.
The program airs on all digital platforms of ‘Houston Tribune’ and ‘American Urdu TV,’ including YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. It is expected that this new season will not only increase viewership but also give birth to new intellectual currents within the Pakistani community.”
