According to data related to the Ship Channel, it supports approximately 1.54 million jobs and $439.2 billion in economic activity across Texas. Participants noted that Houston’s port, strong industrial base, global connectivity, and skilled workforce make the city an important industrial hub for companies from across the United States and around the world.

During the meeting, participants emphasized that continued investment in infrastructure and workforce development is essential to maintaining the pace of industrial growth and attracting future investment. Improvements to roads and bridges, efficient freight movement, workforce training, and strong regional partnerships were identified as key priorities.
