Celebrating Quaid-e-Azam’s 149th Birthday

The 149th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was observed at the Pakistan Centre in an atmosphere of dignity, reverence, and unity. A large gathering of Pakistani Americans reflected a shared resolve to honor the Founder of Pakistan and to keep his principles alive for future generations. The evening carried a thoughtful and respectful tone, deeply rooted in national identity and collective pride.

The program featured insightful addresses by the Consul General of Pakistan in Houston, Aftab Chowdhry, who spoke on Quaid-e-Azam’s statesmanship, constitutional vision, and the principles that continue to guide Pakistan’s national outlook. Dr. Asaf Riyaz Qadeer and Dr. Hasnain Walji also shared reflective remarks, highlighting Quaid-e-Azam’s character, integrity, and his enduring message of unity, faith, and discipline in the context of contemporary challenges.

Areesha Faisal, Director of Youth Affairs at PULSE, spoke about the life of the Founder of Pakistan and his progressive vision, emphasizing the importance of Quaid-e-Azam’s message for the younger generation.

In his address, Pakistan Association of Greater Houston President Siraj Narsi underscored the vital role of the community in preserving cultural values, strengthening connections with Pakistan, and passing Quaid-e-Azam’s legacy on to younger generations. He commended the collective efforts behind the successful event and highlighted the significance of platforms like PAGH in promoting unity among the diaspora.

The gathering concluded as a proud and inspiring reflection on shared values, collective heritage, and the journey that shapes Pakistani identity. The event renewed a sense of responsibility to uphold Quaid-e-Azam’s vision and to carry his message forward with unity, purpose, and dignity for generations to come.
