Waheed Murad Remembered in Houston on 42nd Death Anniversary

In Houston, fans commemorated the 42nd death anniversary of Pakistani film hero Waheed Murad by organizing a special event in his memory, celebrating not only his art and personality but also his successful life. This memorable gathering took place at a hall in Lexi Point Houston and was arranged by well-known community leader Siraj Narsi and media personality Zeeshan Akram Mirza.

The event was attended by fans, personalities associated with the arts, and prominent members of the community, all of whom paid heartfelt tribute to Waheed Murad by recalling his era and his remarkable work. The late actor’s son, Adil Murad, also participated in the program and addressed the audience, saying, “Waheed Murad’s art, style, and personality continue to live in people’s hearts. Even after 42 years, the way he is remembered around the world is unparalleled in the world of art.” He also thanked all participants who made the day memorable with their love and respect.

On the occasion, Siraj Narsi, Ghazanfar Hashmi, Jami Fali, Rasheed Farooqi, Shah Ghazali, Tariq Minhas, Yasmin Akmal, Nuzhat Hussain, Masood Ahmed, Saeed Gadi, and Asim Tirmizi, among others, also shared their thoughts. The program began with Zeeshan Mirza reciting Surah Al-Fatiha for the soul of the departed and welcoming all guests. In the end, Siraj Narsi thanked the participants and specially appreciated the support of Shahid Hashmi from Lexi Point.

The most memorable aspect of the event was that Waheed Murad’s famous songs were not only displayed on TV in video form but were also performed live by a team led by Saleem Tajani and Nadeem Ashrafi from Houston, adding a magical and unforgettable touch to the gathering.
