Aga’s Restaurant & Catering Welcomes Mehwish Hayat as Global Brand Ambassador

Aga’s Restaurant & Catering, a renowned establishment in Houston, Texas, has appointed Pakistani actress and singer Mehwish Hayat as their Global Brand Ambassador. This collaboration aims to bring the authentic flavors of Pakistan to a broader audience, celebrating the rich culinary heritage of the country.

Born on January 6, 1988, in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, Mehwish Hayat hails from a family deeply rooted in the entertainment industry. Her mother, Rukhsar Hayat, was a prominent television actress in the 1980s. Mehwish made her acting debut in the television drama Man Jali in 2010 and transitioned to films with the comedy Jawani Phir Nahi Ani in 2015. She has since starred in several successful films, including Actor in Law (2016), Punjab Nahi Jaungi (2017), Load Wedding (2018), and London Nahi Jaunga (2022), all of which are among the highest-grossing Pakistani films.

In addition to her acting career, Mehwish is also a talented singer. She has performed songs like “Pani Barsa” from Man Jali (2010), “Har Saans Gawahi Deta Hai” from Mirat-ul-Uroos (2012), and “Tu Hi Tu” with Shiraz Uppal in Coke Studio 9 (2016).

Beyond her artistic endeavors, Mehwish is an advocate for social causes. In 2019, she was appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador for the Rights of the Girl Child by Pakistan’s Ministry of Human Rights. She has also been involved in various charitable activities, including launching a global appeal to assist victims of the catastrophic floods in Pakistan in 2022.
