I recently had the privilege of attending the Houston Hispanic Architects and Engineers (HHAE) Annual Gala, a truly inspiring evening that brought together leaders, professionals, and students. The event was a celebration of community, achievement, and the shared values that continue to shape Houston’s future.

Somos Unidos – We Are United

This year’s theme, Somos Unidos (We Are United), couldn’t have been more fitting. It reminded us that when we stand together—through mentorship, collaboration, and support—we create opportunities that reach far beyond one profession or community. It was uplifting to see how unity remains at the heart of everything HHAE does.

Investing in the Next Generation

One of the highlights of the evening was celebrating HHAE’s ongoing commitment to education. Last year, the organization raised over $200,000 in scholarships, directly supporting young students with dreams of becoming architects and engineers. These scholarships aren’t just financial aid—they’re a powerful investment in future leaders, innovators, and changemakers.

Building a Stronger Houston

The Gala was more than an elegant night—it was a reminder of what makes Houston strong. By uplifting youth, championing diversity, and nurturing mentorship, HHAE is helping to build a brighter and more inclusive future for our city.

I left the evening both inspired and grateful to be part of a community that believes so deeply in giving back and empowering the next generation.
