The Consulate General of Pakistan in Houston organized a seminar to observe the 6th Youm-e-Istehsal, marking six years since India’s illegal and unilateral actions of August 5, 2019 in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK).

Consul General Aftab Choudhary attended the event along with prominent community leaders, activists, and civil society members. Messages from Pakistan’s leadership were read out, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering moral, political, and diplomatic support for the people of IIOJK.

Speakers at the seminar condemned India’s ongoing human rights violations in the occupied territory and expressed unflinching solidarity with the Kashmiri people in their legitimate struggle for the right to self-determination.

Distinguished guests at the event included Siraj Narsi, Tanveer Ahmed, Aniq Ahmed, and Salman Razzuq, who also expressed support for the Kashmiri cause and stressed the need for global action to end the suffering of the people of IIOJK.

Earlier, participants observed a one-minute silence to honor the sacrifices of the people of Kashmir and to express solidarity with their cause.
