In a heartfelt gathering at the Pakistan Center, the Pakistan Association of Greater Houston (PAGH) and The Rose – Center for Breast Health Excellence joined forces to host a transformative Breast Cancer Awareness & Prevention event on Saturday, July 12, 2025.
The event brought together a diverse panel of experts and survivors who shared invaluable insights and personal journeys:
- Dr. Abdul Moosa, renowned Family Practice Physician and Medical Director at The Rose, led discussions on early detection and medical advancements.
- Dr. Yasmeen Qureshi, a distinguished Breast Cancer Specialist, underscored the importance of proactive healthcare.
- Amanda Gujral, NP, from The Rose, emphasized accessible healthcare solutions.
- Ashma Khanani-Moosa, RN, a courageous Breast Cancer Survivor and PAGH Board Member, shared her inspiring journey.
- Salima Hirani, RN, another resilient Breast Cancer Survivor, offered solidarity and hope to attendees.
- Siraj Narsi, President of PAGH, reiterated the community’s commitment to women’s health and support.
The event shone a spotlight on the critical need for early screenings and community awareness, resonating deeply with participants. Survivors’ stories of resilience and hope resonated throughout the room, fostering a sense of unity and strength.
