A cultural revolution is underway in Houston! For the first time ever, the Pakistan Association of Greater Houston (PAGH) is stepping into the spotlight with a bold and beautiful leap into community theatre. Thanks to the visionary leadership of Siraj Narsi and the dedicated PAGH Board, Houston’s Pakistani-American community is about to experience the magic of Sohni Dhurti — a stage production rooted in heritage, heart, and home.
Penned by the acclaimed Masood Ahmad, directed by the dynamic Umar Farooq, and brought to life by producer Shahid Iqbal, Sohni Dhurti promises to be a powerful fusion of emotion, tradition, and artistry. The curtain rises on August 24, 2025, at the Stafford Civic Center and it’s a date you won’t want to miss.

Tonight’s casting call sparked a wave of excitement. From passionate performances to raw, emerging talent, the room buzzed with energy. Behind-the-scenes glimpses and photos revealed a community coming together — not just to put on a play, but to tell our stories, in our voices, on our stage.
Tickets launching soon — an artistic milestone is on the horizon, promising an evening that blends tradition, language, and dramatic expression on an American stage.

Sohni Dhurti is more than a play — it’s a tribute to heritage, a celebration of creative expression, and a landmark for community-driven theatre in Houston. A historic performance awaits.
