Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo: Your Ultimate Guide

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is back, running from March 4 to March 23, 2025. With thrilling events and exciting attractions, planning your visit can be overwhelming—especially for first-timers. This guide will help you navigate parking, transportation, and ticketing to ensure a hassle-free rodeo experience.


Parking Options

Rodeo attendees have access to parking facilities within walking distance of NRG Park.

  • Yellow Lot – 9051 S. Main St. ($25, cashless)
  • 610 Lot – 9051 S. Main St. ($25, cashless)

Complimentary trams, operated by rodeo committee members, will shuttle visitors between parking lots and event locations, including NRG Center and NRG Arena.

Parking for Visitors with Disabilities
Accessible parking is available for $25. If all designated spaces are full, guests will be redirected to the nearest alternative lot. Handicap-accessible transportation options are also available via city-run transit services.

Local Transportation

Visitors can park at designated Park & Ride locations and take a bus to NRG Park.

Park & Ride Locations and Fees:

  • 2103 South Braeswood – $25 parking
  • 2400 Reed Road – $25 parking
  • 4675 S. Braeswood – Free parking, $7 round trip (ages 4+)
  • 8833 1/2 Gulf Freeway (I-45) – Free parking, $7 round trip (ages 4+)
  • 515 Maxey Road – Free parking, $4 round trip per person
  • 1604 West Bellfort – $20 parking

Shuttle Schedule:

  • Last bus to NRG Park – 9:00 p.m.
  • Last bus from NRG Park – 1:00 a.m. (weekdays), 2:00 a.m. (weekends)

METRORail Options:
Three METRORail lines serve NRG Park, each costing $1.25 per one-way trip.

  • Northbound Service – Operates until 1:30 a.m. (Monday–Saturday), 11:24 p.m. (Sunday)
  • Southbound Service – Operates until 3:20 a.m. (Monday–Saturday), 1:15 a.m. (Sunday)

Rideshare & Drop-offs

  • Drop-off & Pick-up Location: East End of Yellow Lot 35 (Lantern Point & McNee intersection)
  • Vehicle Entry: Main Street, south of McNee, Yellow Lot 16B
  • Rider Pickup: Yellow Lot 35, near Lantern Point & McNee
