Karachi — February 13, 2025 — The Radio Media Conference 2025, held at the Arts Council of Pakistan, brought together key media professionals and policymakers to discuss the future of radio broadcasting in Pakistan. Among the distinguished speakers was Faysal Aziz Khan, owner of Huston Tribune and a senior broadcast journalist, who highlighted the growing role of digital media in reshaping radio’s impact on communities.

A panel discussion titled “Radio 2.0: Exploring the Digital Broadcasting of Community-Centered Radio in Pakistan” further examined the importance of local storytelling, technological advancements, and government policies in shaping the future of radio. Experts in the session echoed Faysal Aziz Khan’s views on leveraging digital platforms while maintaining radio’s grassroots impact.
The conference concluded with a strategic roadmap for enhancing digital radio infrastructure, journalist training programs, sustainable funding models, and policy reforms to strengthen the media landscape.
