Deputy Consul General of Pakistan in New York, Mr. Umar Sheikh, represented the Consulate General on behalf of Consul General Mr. Aamer Ahmed Atozai at the Annual Interfaith Event hosted by the American Cultural Alliance (ACA) in New Jersey. The event brought together clergy members, elected officials, community leaders, and individuals from various faiths, highlighting the significance of interfaith harmony and cultural understanding.

Message of Peace and Coexistence
In his address, Mr. Sheikh emphasized the universal values of peace, compassion, and coexistence that resonate across all religions. He lauded the efforts of the ACA in fostering respect and unity among diverse communities. Special recognition was given to the contributions of key organizers, including Dr. Zubair, Mr. Kamran, and Mr. Hannan, for their dedication to this cause.

Quoting Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Pakistan’s founder, Mr. Sheikh reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to ensuring equality and harmony for people of all faiths. He stressed the importance of embracing diversity and building bridges to foster an inclusive and peaceful society.

Strengthening Bonds Through Collaboration
The Consulate General of Pakistan reiterated its dedication to supporting the Pakistani-American community in promoting interfaith harmony and cultural understanding. The Consulate continues to champion initiatives that strengthen relationships between diverse communities, reflecting the shared values of unity and mutual respect.
