HOUSTON: Strengthening communication and collaboration between Houston’s local leadership and faith and community representatives, the Ministers Advisory Board to the Mayor recently held a meeting featuring Houston Mayor John Whitmire, City Controller Chris Hollins, and City Council Member Tiffany D. Thomas as special guests.
The board, which was revived by Council Member Davis during his first year in office in 2024, continues to expand its activities and engagement with the community. The latest meeting provided an opportunity for local leaders and board members to discuss community issues and the importance of continued collaboration.

Mayor Whitmire, Controller Hollins, and Council Member Thomas addressed the board and exchanged views with members on a range of issues, highlighting the value of maintaining strong communication between city leadership and the community.
The board expressed its appreciation to the elected officials and their respective staff for taking the time to participate in the meeting. Special recognition was also given to Houston Public Library Director Sandy Gaw and her team for their continued support. The board continues to hold its meetings at the Central Library, with the library providing ongoing assistance and support.
