A special event was held in Houston to honor Dr. Amjad Saqib, founder of the Akhuwat Foundation and nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize. Dr. Saqib was recognized for his pioneering efforts in poverty alleviation through interest-free microfinance and educational initiatives such as Aga’s Girls Scholarship.

The gathering was attended by key dignitaries, including Consul General Aftab Ahmed Chaudhry, along with respected community leaders Shoukat Ali Maredia and Dr. Yasmeen Qureshi.
Prominent media personality Rehan Siddiqi was acknowledged for his consistent support of social causes, while Salman Razzaqi was recognized for his strong leadership and deep ties to the local community.

Amir Piprani, President of the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce USA, was also present and appreciated for his efforts in promoting Pakistan’s economic interests on the global stage.
