The Pakistan Association of Greater Houston (PAGH) took a historic step on the occasion of American Independence Day by organizing a grand flag-hoisting ceremony for the first time. This event served as a shining example of unity, respect, and community spirit—not only for Pakistani-American citizens but for the entire city of Houston.
Organized by PAGH, the American flag-raising ceremony witnessed the presence of many distinguished members of the Pakistani community who wholeheartedly expressed their support for the initiative.
The event was attended by Pakistan’s Consul General Mr. Aftab Ahmed Chaudhry, Dr. Asif Qadir, Salman Lalani, Fahim Akhund, Dr. Anwar Qadir, Noshiba Khurshid, Noor Khurshid, Shahid Hashmi, Nusrat Laghari, and Arif Azim. All these individuals celebrated American independence along with the values of diversity, inclusion, and the shared principles that bind us together as a strong society.
This ceremony is a clear reflection of the active and positive role that Pakistani-Americans are playing in the social and cultural fabric of the United States.
