Under the auspices of the Pakistan Association of Greater Houston (PAGH), a heartfelt series titled “Kitab Aur Chai ” paid tribute today to the esteemed voice artist and poet, the late Aqeel Ashraf. The event featured a solemn memorial prayer ceremony and engaging literary discussions at Jinnah Hall, Pakistan Center.
Renowned poets Abbas Tabish, Hamad Ghaznavi, and Atif Tauqeer delivered poignant recitations, honoring Ashraf’s profound contributions to literature and art. Dr. Asif Qadeer and Ms. Ashrat Afrin, prominent figures in Houston’s social scene, shared heartfelt reflections on the late poet’s enduring legacy.
