In a special ceremony held , Fort Bend County Judge K.P. George officially recognized the Pakistan Association of Greater Houston (PAGH) as part of the county’s celebration of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month. The proclamation honors the rich cultural diversity and valuable contributions of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities in the region.
The event brought together community leaders, elected officials, and representatives from various cultural organizations to celebrate and highlight the achievements and heritage of AANHPI communities across Fort Bend County.

During the ceremony, Siraj Narsi, President of the Pakistan Association of Greater Houston, spoke passionately about the vital role the Pakistani community plays in the social and economic fabric of Greater Houston. He emphasized the importance of cultural preservation, community service, and collaboration among diverse groups to build a stronger, more inclusive society.
“We are honored to be recognized today alongside other distinguished Asian American communities,” Narsi said. “This celebration reminds us of the power of unity and the strength we gain by sharing our unique cultures and stories with one another.”

Judge K.P. George commended PAGH for its ongoing efforts to foster understanding, education, and goodwill among all residents of Fort Bend County. “Organizations like the Pakistan Association of Greater Houston enrich our community through cultural exchange, support, and service. Their work exemplifies the spirit of AANHPI Heritage Month, and we are proud to celebrate their contributions,” he stated.
The Proclamation Ceremony serves as a platform to recognize the diversity that strengthens Fort Bend County and encourages continued partnership between local government and cultural organizations to promote inclusivity and respect.
