Just like in Pakistan, the vibrant spirit of Ramadan has illuminated Houston, with outdoor iftar gatherings becoming increasingly popular. Following this trend, grand sehri events have also gained momentum, bringing the community together in a festive atmosphere.

Pakistan Association of Greater Houston Hosts Grand Sehri
The Pakistan Association of Greater Houston (PAGH) recently organized a grand sehri event, drawing a massive turnout of Pakistani-Americans. Attendees not only enjoyed a lavish pre-dawn meal but also participated in a lucky draw, where valuable prizes and two Umrah tickets were given away.

PAGH President Saraj Narsi expressed gratitude to key sponsors, including prominent business tycoon Ali Sheikhani and Turkish Airlines, for their generous support in making the event a success.
Strengthening Cultural Traditions in the Diaspora
As Pakistani organizations and notable community figures continue to host large-scale iftar dinners, the tradition of grand sehri gatherings has also taken root. The Pakistan Association of Greater Houston has been at the forefront of this initiative, ensuring that thousands of attendees experience the joy and warmth of Ramadan just as they would in Pakistan.

Speaking at the event, PAGH President Saraj Narsi emphasized that these sehri and iftar gatherings play a crucial role in preserving and passing down the beautiful traditions of Ramadan, particularly among the younger generation. General Secretary Amir Zaidi added that the objective of these annual events extends beyond mere gatherings—it is about uniting the community and keeping the spirit of Ramadan alive, even while living far from home.
