COLUMBIA,— Starting Tuesday, March 4, the town of Columbia in eastern Houston County will begin scheduled water shutdowns across different parts of the town, continuing throughout the week.
While the specific areas affected have not been disclosed, the first round of shutdowns will begin around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
In the coming days, several areas of Columbia will experience water outages, each lasting approximately two to three hours.
The town has confirmed that the water shutdowns are necessary to complete a water project they are currently working on, which requires temporary utility suspensions.
Important for Local Pakistani and Indian Communities: This water disruption may impact daily routines, including prayers and meal times, especially for families observing Ramadan. For those in the community with specific needs, it is advisable to stay informed and make preparations to avoid any inconvenience.
