Houston Honors HUM TV Awards 10th Anniversary with City Proclamation

The 10th Anniversary Celebration of the HUM TV Awards illuminated the City of Houston with a night of glamour, talent, and international friendship as community leaders, dignitaries, and media icons gathered at the NRG Arena to celebrate Pakistan’s thriving entertainment industry and its growing global reach.

The ceremony was graced by Houston Mayor John Whitmire, who presented an official City of Houston Proclamation designating October 11, 2025, as “10th HUM Awards Day in Houston.” The proclamation recognized HUM Network Limited for its decade of artistic excellence, cultural diplomacy, and its vital role in promoting cross-cultural understanding between the United States and Pakistan.

The Mayor’s participation and the proclamation presentation and collaboration with renowned business philanthropist & Chief Guest Syed Javaid Anwar, whose generous support and long-standing commitment to community initiatives made the celebration possible.

Distinguished guests included members of the Houston City Council, the Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States, representatives of the Consulate General of Pakistan in Houston, and several leaders from the Pakistani-American community. The event underscored Houston’s dynamic multicultural landscape and its enduring Sister City relationship with Karachi, Pakistan.

Syed Javaid Anwar, serving as Chief Guest, commended HUM TV for its pioneering contribution to showcasing Pakistan’s creative excellence and for strengthening international cultural ties through art and entertainment. The Ambassador of Pakistan also highlighted the importance of cultural exchange and the role of media in promoting mutual respect and understanding between nations.

The event featured the presence of Ms. Sultana Siddiqui, Founder and President of HUM Network Limited, and Duraid Qureshi, CEO of HUM Network Productions, both of whom expressed deep gratitude to the City of Houston, Mayor Whitmire, and the Houston-Karachi Sister City Association for their recognition and support.

The 10th HUM Awards marked a historic milestone for Pakistani media in the United States, uniting entertainment, business, and civic leaders under one banner of cultural harmony, creativity, and mutual respect.
