In a powerful expression of community spirit and cultural pride, Pakistani Americans gathered for a special Youm-e-Tashakur (Day of Gratitude) event at the Marquee Event Center in Houston, Texas.

The evening served as a platform to honor collective achievements and promote solidarity among the Pakistani diaspora. Organized by key community leaders and alumni from various educational institutions, the event received strong backing from organizations such as the Karachi University Alumni, Marfani Foundation, and the Pakistani American Leaders Forum (PALF).
Generously sponsored by the Javed Family and Tempura Restaurant, the gathering brought together a diverse crowd of professionals, families, and youth to celebrate shared values and heritage.

Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh delivered a keynote address underscoring the importance of unity, cultural preservation, and active civic participation. “Events like this remind us of our roots and inspire us to work together for a stronger, more vibrant community,” he said.
Also present was Mr. Aftab Ahmed Chaudhry, Consul General of Pakistan in Houston, who applauded the community’s efforts in fostering connection and representation. He highlighted the vital role such initiatives play in enhancing Pakistan’s image abroad.

Renowned Pakistani American philanthropist and community figure Mohammad Tahir Javed also addressed the gathering, urging greater collaboration among diaspora members to drive impactful change. “Our strength lies in our unity. Together, we can make a difference both here and in Pakistan,” he stated.
The event featured cultural performances, traditional music, and forward-looking conversations about youth involvement, education, and future development projects within the community. Attendees described the celebration as both meaningful and inspiring.

For updates on future events and initiatives, community members are encouraged to follow PALF and the Consulate General of Pakistan in Houston on their official platforms.
